I thought the video was interesting for some parts, but i kind of got bored because of the length. I am sort of shocked to see that someone can watch the war in iraq on tv and think nothing of it and just go on with thier life. In the beggining of the movie when the anchor man was introducing topics that were going to be talked about he put war in the same importance as a basketball game. The part of the video i thought was most intersting was where they were saying that iraq people were going to attack iraqi civilians dressed as american and british troops. I found this interesting because in my opinion it is probably just americans wanting to get away with abuseing civilians.

These messages about violence influence our everyday actions because it makes violence seem normal to the everyday person. Our culture is overrun with non-peace premoting propaganda and full of vioent stuff.

Human Beings are for sure a naturaly violent society, because if we werent then we would not have urges to hit people, say horrible things to people, and cause war.

The absense of war or violence does not mean that we have peace, because you arent getting rid of conflict it just means that it wont be as bloody and vilent as it usually is.

About Myself

I believe that peace is to live without conflict or problem. I have chosen to do peace and youth culture 12 because i believe that it will provide good oppertunities for myself to learn about the world around me.
